- Personal effectiveness
- Productive organizational skills
- Methods to build systems that improve recruiting, practice,
execution, team development, and leadership growth
- The ability to find their unique voice (niche) within
the staff
- The ability to re-define and re-connect leadership within
the staff and solve conflict
- The ability to pinpoint and overcome common dysfunctions
of teams
- A systems thinking approach to show how one area of the
staff positively or negatively affects other areas
- The ability to recognize and anticipate the needs of the
head coach
- The ability to articulate, present, and sell the head
coach and university to the community and recruits
- The ability to be ready to lead in any venue and ultimately
become a head coach (Coach Burt has produced six head coaches
in a 9-year period)
